Scotland international Max Evans is to face trial later this year over allegations that he hit a man with a glass at an Edinburgh nightclub.
The 27-year-old former Glasgow Warriors winger denies hitting Alasdair McCaig in the face with a glass in the Lulu nightclub in August last year.
Evans, who currently plays for French side Castres, appeared at the city's sheriff court and continued his plea of not guilty.
He denies the charge that he injured Mr McCaig by striking him with a tumbler to his severe injury, permanent disfigurement, and permanent impairment at Lulu.
Evans, who has been capped 26 times by Scotland, had his bail continued after the two-minute long hearing.
