Sale Sharks flanker Richie Vernon has said that he is determined to get into Scotland’s World Cup squad by impressing in the EMC Test at Murrayfield on Saturday.
The 24-year-old, who will discover if he has been called up on Monday, stressed that he will play to the best of his ability to secure a place in the squad.
"I'll be looking to get my hands on the ball, try and be as dangerous as I can, hopefully break some tackles and get through a few gaps," Vernon is quoted as saying.
"If I can do that hopefully it will put me forward for a place on that plane."
