The Worcester Warriors prop has missed his country's opening three matches of the tournament due to a thumb problem.
The 33-year-old, who has won 58 caps at senior level, cut his thumb while chopping wood at a barbecue.
Scotland beat Italy 21-20 in Rome two weeks ago to earn their first victory of this year's competition.
