Scotland have confirmed that they will appeal fly-half Finn Russell's two-week ban.
Russell was given the suspension by an independent disciplinary committee on Wednesday for an alleged dangerous tackle on Wales's Dan Biggar.
The 22-year-old was shown a yellow card during his side's defeat to the Welsh in the Six Nations on Saturday, but the committee decided that the challenge was worthy of a red card.
"We are disappointed by the outcome of today's discipline committee meeting, and subsequent suspension of stand-off Finn Russell," said a Scottish Rugby Union spokesman. "Following the arrival of the written sanction later this week, we intend to appeal."
Scotland return to Six Nations action on February 28 when they welcome Italy to Murrayfield.
