Kahn Fotuali'i has admitted that Samoa will be facing a "wounded beast" when they play South Africa in their second match at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
The Springboks, who are two-time winners of the World Cup, suffered a shock 34-32 defeat to Japan in their opening fixture on Saturday.
Ahead of Samoa's match against South Africa at Villa Park on Saturday, the scrum-half told reporters: "The Springboks will be a wounded beast, yes, that's for sure. Japan haven't made it easier for us and this won't be the last surprise of the tournament.
"We knew this pool would be tough and we were a bit rusty out there. Yes, we will have to be better than that against South Africa."
Samoa beat the USA 25-16 in their opening match in Pool B.
