Jonny Wilkinson has hailed his Toulon teammates following their Heineken Cup final triumph against Saracens.
The former England player, who announced earlier this week that he will retire from the sport this summer, played his part in the 26-3 victory at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
"I can't say enough just how proud I am to be part of this team, to have been able to play in this competition, against teams like that," the 34-year-old is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail. "We've had a hell of a time, there's a week left in our season so we'll carry on."
When asked where this victory ranks among his career highlights, Wilkinson added: "It's up there - a lot of relief, a lot of excitement, sheer adulation, at the moment I'm just trying to take it all in.'
Toulon return to action next weekend when they take on Castres.
