Shaun Edwards has revealed that he has had no contact with anyone from the Rugby Football Union.
The 45-year-old had been heavily linked with a role within the England camp in recent weeks following his departure as head coach of Wasps.
However, he ended that speculation by agreeing a contact to continue in his role as defence coach of Wales until 2015.
"[The Wales offer] is the only offer that I had," Edwards told Sky Sports News. "I haven't had any contact with anyone from England or the Rugby Football Union.
"I'm not the sort of person to pitch for another man's job."
Edwards also admitted that he has yet to sign a deal with Wales, but insisted that there is a verbal agreement in place.
"I've not put pen to paper but we've agreed," added Edwards. "We've pretty much shook hands on it.
"There are a couple of finer points to iron and then I'll sign the deal."
Edwards also admitted that he is keen on joining an Aviva Premiership club, but refused to comment on reports linking him with a move to Leicester.
