Uncapped dual-qualified pair Ross Moriarty and Tomas Francis are named in Wales' 47-man training squad for the 2015 World Cup.

Uncapped duo Ross Moriarty and Tomas Francis have been included in Warren Gatland's 47-man Wales training squad for the World Cup.

The pair are dual-qualified so are able to represent England, but Gatland has opted to bring the duo through the Welsh ranks ahead of the tournament on UK shores later this year.

Bristol fly-half Matthew Morgan has been added to the group following an impressive end to the season, while Exeter's Tom James is included in the squad for the first time since his last Wales appearances in 2010.

Tyler Morgan has been drafted in due to the absence of injured centre Jonathan Davies, while Ospreys centre Ben John and Cardiff Blues back-row Josh Navidi have been overlooked.

"We are extremely happy with the blend of the squad in terms of the experience we are able to include as well as the young talent that has really impressed us," said Gatland.

"The easy part for the players has been done in terms of being selected, the hard work will begin from day one with a huge schedule of preparation ahead of them."

The squad will be cut down to 31 on August 31.
