Scott Gibbs has urged Wales to remain unbeaten for the rest of Pool A after recording a 28-25 victory over England at the weekend.
Qualification is in the hands of Warren Gatland's squad following their dramatic win at Twickenham, and the pressure is on to retain the momentum gained from the performance.
Fiji and Australia stand in the way before the knockout stage, and Gibbs has urged the side to build on their display in Saturday's triumph.
"We've all celebrated in the last few days," Gibbs, who won 53 caps for Wales, told reporters. "But it counts for nothing unless we win on Thursday and go unbeaten throughout this group.
"The nation is behind them - they just need to play smart football, conserve energy and probably put the pressure on Fiji to play rugby."
Wales meet Fiji in Cardiff on Thursday, before taking on Australia at Twickenham next Saturday.
