Former Wales wing Shane Williams has questioned the decision to cut hooker Richard Hibbard from the team's Rugby World Cup training squad.
The 31-year-old was released by coach Warren Gatland following the side's 35-21 defeat to Ireland.
Williams believes that Hibbard, who has won 38 caps for his country, should have been seriously considered for a place in the final squad.
"I thought that Richard Hibbard with his scrummaging strength and his physicality would have been a clear shot of being involved in the World Cup," he told BBC Sport. "That's one of the reasons I was shocked by his non-selection, so that again is very worrying."
Wales are back in action on August 29 when they face Ireland in Dublin for their second World Cup warm-up match.
