Chris Pennell says that Worcester Warriors should try to learn from the Exeter Chiefs' progression.

Worcester Warriors full-back Chris Pennell has urged his teammates to learn from the Exeter Chiefs ahead of their meeting at Sixways on Saturday.

Having secured promotion in 2010, the Devonian outfit have received mass plaudits for their action-packed style of rugby which has seen then earn a domestic double over defending champions Harlequins as well as impress during their first ever Heineken Cup campaign.

Pennell wants Warriors, who reached the Aviva Premiership in 2011, to replicate the Chiefs' form in the top division.

"I think everyone has been really impressed with how Exeter have done over the past couple of years," Pennell said.

"Particularly last season where they were so close to the playoffs and made the Heineken Cup, but this season they've beaten Quins away and could have beaten Leicester.

"The way they have performed since being promoted is something we would like to replicate."

Warriors currently sit ninth in the table, 10 points behind eighth-placed Chiefs.
