Rowan Crothers has set the first world record in the pool at this Commonwealth Games on his way to gold in the men's S9 100m freestyle.
The 16-year-old broke his own record by more than three tenths of second as he stormed clear of the rest of the field with a time of 54.58s.
It proved to be a successful race for Australia as Crowthers was joined on the podium by compatriots Matt Cowdrey and Brenden Hall.
Prasanta Karmakar and Scody Victor completed the field, but neither swimmer was able to come close to challenging the dominant Australians.
