Team England's Francesca Halsall has broken the Commonwealth Games record in the women's 50m freestyle to book her place in Saturday's final.
The 24-year-old posted a time of 24.14s to move into the final after breaking the record for the second time in the day following her performance in the heats.
Australia's Cate Campbell had broken Halsall's first Games record in the first heat to secure her place in the final, while England's Amy Smith also reached the race with a time of 25.09s.
Halsall won the silver medal in the event in the Delhi Games four years ago.
