Great Britain's Chloe Tutton has finished in fourth position in the final of the women's 200m breaststroke.
The 20-year-old was drawn in the inside lane but she was always in contention for a medal alongside compatriot Molly Renshaw, who was in lane three.
Rie Kaneto and Yulia Efimova did battle for gold with the Japanese swimmer eventually pulling clear to win by over one-and-a-half seconds, but the fight for bronze was much closer with Tutton appearing to have the edge during the final 10 metres.
However, Shi Jinglin pipped her with the final reach for the wall to deny the Welsh competitor by six hundredths of a second.
Renshaw ended the race in sixth position, less than half a second behind third-placed Shi.
