James Ward has described his loss to Blaz Kavcic at the Australian Open earlier this morning as "a tough day".
The 24-year-old, who was beaten in straight-set by his Slovenian opponent, has now turned his attention to the next tournament.
"It was difficult out there due to the wind but it was the same for both of us and there are no excuses, it was a tough day," Ward said after his loss.
"It's disappointing because I lost. I am not happy about losing any match but it was a good chance.
"It has gone and I just have to move on and look forward to the next tournament."
The Great British number two was making his debut in Melbourne.
