Garry Cahill has called time on his four-year stint as Ireland's Davis Cup captain.
The decision has been taken with immediate effect, but Cahill will continue his role as performance director of Tennis Ireland.
"I am very proud of my time as Irish Davis Cup captain," RTE Sport quotes Cahill as saying. "I would like to thank the players and the board of Tennis Ireland for their support during the four-year period I was in charge.
"I believe the team have the ability to beat Belarus in March and I wish everyone involved the very best of luck in their preparations for that tie."
A new appointment is expected to be made within the next two weeks.
