Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has followed up yesterday's record-breaking win over Milos Raonic with a straight-sets triumph over Feliciano Lopez of Spain in the third round of the men's Olympic singles at Wimbledon.
With nothing to separate the two men in the opening set, the French fifth seed edged the tie-break 7-5.
He secured his passage through to the last eight of the competition thanks to a 6-4 win in the second.
Up next for Tsonga is a quarter-final meeting with Novak Djokovic after the Serbian second seed defeated Lleyton Hewitt in three sets.
