Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has conceded that he has not been left concerned by his poor serving performance at the French Open this afternoon.

The Frenchman was only able to land 50% of his first serves in, but he still managed to record a 6-2 6-2 6-3 victory over Slovenia's Aljaz Bedene in his homeland.

However, rather than feel overly negative by his low serving percentage, Tsonga has instead opted to look for the positives.

"It's positive because winning without seeing a high percentage of first serves, that's good. That means everything else is in place and that when I iron the service out, then I will be even better," he told reporters.

Tsonga will now face either Jarkko Nieminen or compatriot Paul-Henri Mathieu in the next round.
