Gilles Simon has beaten Malek Jaziri 6-3 4-6 6-2 in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.
The 13th seed started the match in the worst possible way, losing his first service game to love. However, he broke back in game four, and then again in game eight to take the first set.
The final five games were all broken in an astonishing second set, with Jaziri levelling the match at 1-1.
Simon then turned the heat on Jaziri, winning the opening four games of the deciding set, and holding a break point in game six to set up a third-round match against Michael Berrer.
