Agnieszka Radwanska has progressed to the quarter-finals of the Italian Open following a straight-sets victory over Francesca Schiavone.
Radwanska took an early 2-0 lead in the first set, but her Italian opponent hit back to level the scores.
The Pole soon recovered and took a 5-3 lead, before losing her serve for the second time.
Schiavone could not make the most of the slip and lost her third service game to hand her rival a 6-4 win in the set.
Third seed Radwanska made light work of Schiavone in the second set, as she broke the former French Open champion twice on her way to a 6-1 win.
