Andy Murray has admitted that he would 'love' to win an Olympic gold medal at this summer's London Games.
Despite hopes of putting an end to his search for a first Grand Slam, the world number four wants to put on a show for his British fans.
"It's a fantastic year for tennis in the capital," Murray told The Metro. "I want to win my first Grand Slam, but I would also love to gain an Olympic gold medal.
"I've played in it before and have some special memories of being there with athletes from other sports."
"I have to alter my schedule a bit but that isn't a problem. The Olympics are much higher in profile than they used to be and [Roger] Federer, [Novak] Djokovic and [Rafael] Nadal will be there. And being in London makes it very special for me as I will be playing in front of my fans."
World number two Nadal won the men's singles tournament at the 2008 Beijing Games.
