Former Wimbledon and US Open champion Andy Murray reveals that he is still suffering pain from his left shoulder.

Andy Murray has admitted that he is still plagued by soreness in his left shoulder.

The 27-year-old played through the pain barrier alongside Heather Watson to help Great Britain beat France 2-1 in Hopman Cup earlier today.

"It's a bit sore. If it was my right shoulder it would probably be quite hard for me to play. I don't feel it on my ground strokes so much, I feel it when I'm serving. I had an ultrasound scan in Abu Dhabi and it was absolutely clear but it's still quite sore," he said.

"Hopefully it will calm down. Maybe it's playing matches again after a little break, maybe I've just got it in the wrong position and tweaked something a little bit, but I should be fine."

Murray defeated Benoit Paire 6-2 7-5 at the Perth Arena, before he teamed up with Watson to beat Paire and Alize Cornet in the mixed doubles.
