John Isner has reached the third round of the Paris Masters with a three-set victory over Poland's Michal Przysiezny.
The 13th seed squandered two break points during a tight opening set before clinching it 7-3 in the tie-break.
There was little to separate the players during the second, but it was world number 65 Przysiezny who eventually took it 6-4.
Despite the Pole's fightback, Isner found a decisive break in the decider to close out the match 6-3 in just over two hours.
He will now face world number two Novak Djokovic for a place in the quarter-finals.
