Tommy Haas defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-7 5-7 this afternoon to secure a place in the final of the Gerry Weber Open.
The first set began with both players holding serve in a tight affair, leaving the it to be decided on a tiebreak. Haas was the first to lose serve, doing so twice in a row as Kohlschreiber raced into a 4-1 lead.
However, Haas was quick to come back, forcing his fellow countryman to lose serve three times to win the tie-break 7-5.
The second set started much like the first, with both players matching each other throughout. However, Haas finally managed to break serve, allowing him to secure the final set 5-7 and win the match.
Haas will face Roger Federer in the final.
