Andy Murray is through to the fourth round of the Miami Open courtesy of a hard-fought 6-3 6-4 win over Santiago Giraldo.
Murray struggled to find his rhythm in the opening games, continually finding the net with his first serve and placing several ground strokes out of play.
However, he kept his cool and broke the Colombian in the sixth game of the set as he took advantage of his opponent's weak second serve and forced several errors.
He served out the set a couple of games later, finishing the job with a powerful backhand.
Giraldo lost his composure after that, and he instantly fell two breaks of serve behind at the start of the second set.
However, the Spaniard stopped Murray from serving out the match at the first attempt as he broke back, but the Scot made no mistake second time around as he wrapped it up with a lucky deflected shot off the net cord.
