Andy Murray has progressed to the third round of the Miami Masters with a 6-4 6-2 victory over Donald Young.
The two-time Grand Slam champion, who had won four of the last five matches against the American, raced through the first few games by earning a swift double break.
Murray went 5-1 up, but Young began to find his feet by breaking his opponent's serve and caused some concern by dragging the Scotsman back to 5-4.
Despite a brief scare, it only delayed the inevitable as Murray took a one-set lead and showed his intent by going a break up at the first time of asking in the second set.
The British number one took another break to keep him on top in the clash, and while Young created chances to break back, Murray did enough to wrap up the contest.
