Rafael Nadal has equalled the record for career clay-court titles with a 6-4 6-1 victory over Juan Monaco in the Argentina Open final.
The world number four has now won his 46th clay-court tournament, equalling the record previously set by Guillermo Vilas.
The start of the match was delayed by rain but the Spaniard dominated proceedings once play was underway.
Nadal broke Monaco's serve in the seventh game of the first set, and completed the victory in one hour and 26 minutes.
It was the 28-year-old's first final since winning the French Open last June after struggling with injury throughout the second half of 2014.
