Kei Nishikori has sealed a place in the Barcelona Open final with an emphatic win over Martin Klizan in the last four this afternoon.
The defending champion wasted no time getting an early break on the board in the opening set, before saving a string of break points as the 14th seed tried to get back on level terms.
Klizan dropped his serve again as the Japanese player returned well to give Klizan just one game in the opening set.
Nishikori continued to race towards a straight-sets win with an early break in the second, giving him a 5-1 lead after just over an hour on court.
Klizan served well to force the top seed to serve it out, but Nishikori kept his cool to bring up two match points, converting the first with a forehand.
Nishikori will play either David Ferrer or Pablo Andujar in tomorrow's final.
