Benoit Paire has come from behind to earn a three-set victory over Ernests Gulbis in the second round of the Barcelona Open.

Eighth seed Gulbis was rampant in the opening set, breaking his opponent twice before clinching it with an emphatic 6-1 scoreline.

However, the tables were turned in the second as Paire fought back in style. The Frenchman raced into a 4-1 lead and he was able to keep his calm after that to take it 6-2.

The decider was the tightest of the lot as both men broke early on, but it was Paire who went on to secure his progress by claiming a 1-6 6-2 6-3 triumph.
