Andy Roddick has upset the odds to dump Roger Federer out of the Miami Masters in three sets.
It is only the third time that Roddick has beaten the world number three in 24 meetings, ending the Swiss's 16-match unbeaten run in the process.
Roddick, who has plummeted to 34th in the world, took the first set on a tie-break before Federer struck back in the second set to win 1-6.
That set up a decider, which the American won 6-4 to Federer's run of 77 matches without defeat against players ranked outside the top 20.
Roddick will now face Juan Monaco, who beat Gael Monfils in three sets.
