Spanish 11th seed Nicolas Almagro has defeated Serbia's Victor Troicki in straight sets to progress into the second round of the men's Olympic singles.
There was little to separate the two men on Wimbledon's Court 18, but Almagro managed to find the all-important break to take the first set 6-4.
The Spaniard broke again in the second to allow himself the chance of serving out the match but Troicki dug in to break back and force the tie-break.
However, Almagro won the tie-break 7-3 to get Spain's Olympic tennis campaign off to a winning start.
