Juan Martin del Potro has reached the semi-finals of the Swiss Indoors courtesy of a 6-4 6-4 victory over Paul-Henri Mathieu this afternoon.
Del Potro dominated his own serve in the first set, losing just three points in his five service games.
Mathieu was also impressive on his own serve, but the crucial break came in the fifth game as the number one seed took control of the set before going on to win it 6-4.
It was more of the same in the second set as Del Potro won four service games to love and broke the Frenchman in the seventh game to go on and win it 6-4 once more.
The Argentine will face surprise package Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the semi-final after he beat Daniel Brands earlier today.
