Good morning and welcome to Sports Mole's live text coverage of the fourth day of the 126th Wimbledon Championships.

We're in the second round at the All England club and today the big names taking to court are Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka.

From a British perspective in the women's draw, Anne Keothavong takes on 10th-seed Sara Errani, while Elena Baltacha faces last year's champion Petra Kvitova. Both women will be hoping to join Heather Watson in the third round.

Follow ALL of the day's action with us.

22.18On that bombshell that's it from us tonight. We hope you've enjoyed our coverage from day four of the Wimbledon Championships. There were wins for Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Andy Roddick and Juan Martin del Potro on the men's side of the draw but the main story of the day, and of the tournament, is Rosol's shock victory over Rafael Nadal.

Meanwhile, there were wins for Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka in the women's draw, but Brits Anne Keothavong and Elena Baltacha were knocked out.

Thanks again for joining us, we hope you've had a good evening and we hope to see you again tomorrow when Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic will be in action. Goodnight!

22.13One stat being thrown about is that Rafael Nadal hadn't lost at this stage in a tournament since 2005.

22.11One person who will be having a wry smile tonight is Andy Murray. The Brit is in the same side of the draw. That said, there won't be many who would like to face Rosol following that performance. Some outrageously clean hitting.

22.09Rosol: "I don't know what to say. It's a miracle for me, I never expected something like this. I don't know what to say."

22.06The strength of Rosol's hitting through the entire five sets was something to behold. The Centre Court crowd file out stunned.

22.05Incredible! I'm lost for words! That has to be one of the biggest upsets in Wimbledon history as world number 100 Lukas Rosol beats the great Rafael Nadal in five sets. The Centre Court crowd goes absolutely insane.

22.04GAME, SET AND MATCH! Nadal 7-6[9] 4-6 4-6 6-2 4-6 Rosol

22.02A massive forehand winner makes it 30-0...

22.02Big ace from Rosol, 15-0...

22.01Rosol fires wide and it'll be the Czech to serve for the match. Unbelievable tension inside Centre Court.

21.58Nadal goes long and it's 15-30...

21.56The Czech holds and is just one game away from one of the biggest upsets in Wimbledon history. He leads 5-3.

21.54Rosol takes a 0-30 lead on the Nadal serve with two stunning winners, but the Spaniard fights back to hold. My palms are sweating.

21.50Now it's Rosol who holds to love. The Czech rounds off his game with a booming ace to go 4-2 in front.

21.47Powerful stuff from Nadal now as he holds to love.

21.45Rosol shows no sign of relenting here as a couple of ripping winners see him hold serve and lead 3-1.

21.41Nadal gets off the mark in this set with a love service game. Can he now find a break to draw himself level?

21.38The Czech consolidates the break with a hold thanks to a Nadal error. To repeat: Rosol is ranked 100th in the world.

21.36Unbelievable! Nadal can't put away the smash and Rosol's return forces the number two seed into the error. Rosol leads 1-0!

21.35Break point for Rosol...

21.27Here we go then. It's Rafael Nadal who will get this fifth set up and running. Anyone else really excited?

21.21The players are now walking back onto Centre Court...

21.16We're hearing that the players will be out any moment now and Nadal will serve first.

21.12We're hoping that play will be resumed shortly between Rafael Nadal and Lukas Rosol. They're just sorting the roof out.

21.10In the Women's draw, Brits Anne Keothavong and Elena Baltacha dropped out in the second round, but there were triumphs for Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Angelique Kerber and Victoria Azarenka.

21.08UPDATE: Sam Querrey's contest with Milos Raonic has also been halted due to bad light. They were also level at one set apiece.

21.07UPDATE: Anabel Medina Garrigues's match with Jana Cepelova has been suspended due to bad light with the score at one set all.

21.06On the Men's side of the draw there were wins for Andy Murray, David Ferrer, Juan Martin Del Potro and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, while Britain's James Ward was the unlucky loser in five sets to Mardy Fish.

21.03Right, while we're waiting, here's a quick recap of some of today's results...

20.54SET! Medina Garrigues 7-6[7] 6-7[5] Cepelova

20.53Meanwhile, we still have two matches going on as Sam Querrey is one set apiece with Milos Raonic and Anabel Medina Garrigues is also level on one set each against Jana Cepelova.

20.50The players are going off to mull over tactics for what is a huge set in the context of these Championships. Nadal may be the less happy with the delay as the momentum is firmly with the Spaniard. Rosol is probably relieved as he was losing his footing in the match out there.

20.49Nadal breaks Rosol for the second time and this one is going to a decider. The umpire announces that the roof is going to be closed to finish the match, but it will take around 30 minutes before play is resumed.

20.48Querrey 6-7[3] 7-6[7] Raonic

20.47SET! Nadal 7-6[9] 4-6 4-6 6-2 Rosol

20.42Nadal consolidates the break by holding his own serve thanks to an awkward delivery down the service line. The Spaniard leads 5-2. Only one winner from here?

20.38The number two seed pumps his fist with delight as Rosol fires long with a backhand. Could that be the turning point in this match?

20.38An opening for Nadal now as he has two break points...

20.35The Czech fires wide and Nadal holds to go 3-2 in front. The Spaniard seems to be getting into his rhythm now. It's taken him some time, but better late than never.

20.33The match referee has said that this contest will be concluded tonight, even if the roof needs to be closed.

20.31Nadal again threatened to break there, but Rosol sees off the Spaniard with the most casual of forehands to make it 2-2.

20.27Rosol goes long and Nadal holds to love. Neither player looks like they are about to wane just yet. still a lot of intensity out there.

20.24It was touch and go for a moment there, but the Czech holds thanks to a wayward Nadal forehand.

20.21Rosol ends a tentative rally by slamming a forehand into the net as Nadal leads 1-0.

20.17Nadal will get this fourth set underway...

20.15Incredible. I think everyone was waiting for Rosol to fade away, but he's only got stronger and now leads by two sets to one. Are we on the verge of the shock of the tournament? Nadal needs the next two sets to avoid that.

20.14SET! Nadal 7-6[9] 4-6 4-6 Rosol

20.13Two set points for Rosol...

20.13Despite a terrible opening set for Elena Baltacha, she puts up much more of a fight in the second. However, it isn't enough as she joins Anne Keothavong and James Ward as today's British losers. Defending champion Kvitova will now play American Varvara Lepchenko in the third round.

20.11GAME, SET AND MATCH! Baltacha 0-6 4-6 Kvitova

20.10Nadal holds comfortably to love which means that Rosol will serve for the third set and a 2-1 lead.

20.08That was a huge game for Rosol. He gave Nadal an opening with a double-fault, but the Czech showed great strength to come back and hold.

20.04Nadal finds his feet again to hold serve and make it 3-4.

20.01Rosol shows a great variety of shots to hold serve to love. He's looking in control here.

19.58The players had a little coming-together there in the changeover. This is bubbling up nicely...

19.57Nadal keeps himself in the third set with a hold to love. He now trails 2-3.

19.55Rosol goes 3-1 ahead in this third set thanks to a couple of aces. Nadal's feathers are ruffled out there, to say the least. A stunned hush falls over Centre Court.

19.54SET! Querrey 6-7[3] Raonic

19.53But Rosol takes the third! This is quite something here on Centre Court. Nadal is now talking to the umpire. Not too sure what that's all about but it could be something to do with Rosol's preparation while the Spaniard is waiting to serve. Either way he's a break down again. Rosol leads 2-1.

19.51Nadal saves the second with an ace that nearly decapitates a line judge.

19.51SET! Medina-Garrigues 7-6[7] Cepelova

19.50He squanders the first with a wild forehand.

19.50Oh my. Nadal hits long and Rosol has three break points...

19.48Now it's Rosol who manages a love service game. Neither man giving anything up at the start of this third set.

19.47BREAKING NEWS: Ivo Karlovic accuses officials of bias towards Andy Murray following the Croatian's second-round defeat earlier today.

19.45A dominant start to the third set from Nadal as he holds to love.

19.45Elsewhere, Anabel Medina Garrigues is into a first-set tie-break with Jana Cepelova.

19.42Oh, do we have a match here now. Rosol launches an ace past Nadal to level things up at one set apiece. The Czech has been dynamite out there while Nadal has been somewhat below par. Can he turn it around? Uncle Toni looks as ice cold as ever...

19.41SET! Nadal 7-6[9] 4-6 Rosol

19.38Nadal holds so it'll be Rosol serving for the second set. An interesting few minutes are about to unfold on Centre Court.

19.36Yet more bad news for Elena Baltacha as she's broken at the start of the second set by Petra Kvitova. It could take something close to a miracle for the Brit to turn that one around having lost the opening set 0-6.

19.35Nadal's down again as he tries to reach a Rosol drop shot. However, he can't and the Czech holds to make it 5-3. He's got the former champion running all over the shop here.

19.32The Spaniard holds his ankle following a slip on a forehand. He seems to be okay.

19.30That's more like it from Nadal. Some powerful play from the baseline gives him a hold of serve.

19.28Nadal can't return another rocket of a serve from Rosol and the Czech goes 4-2 in front.

19.26A bit of (recent) background: Rosol was knocked out in the third round at Eastbourne but did see of Andy Murray's next opponent, Marcos Baghdatis, in round two of the tournament.

19.25The Spaniard holds serve with a deft drop shot over the net to make it 2-3.

19.23Superb from Rosol as a stinging forehand winner makes it 30-30 on the Nadal serve.

19.22An awful opening set for British number two Elena Baltacha against defending champions Petra Kvitova as the Czech brushes Baltacha aside 6-0.

19.21SET! Baltacha 0-6 Kvitova

19.20Nadal does his best to return the Rosol serve, but he can't only stop himself getting hit in the face as the Czech holds to lead 3-1.

19.17It's the first time that these two have faced each other and it's quite obvious that Rosol is not daunted whatsoever by playing one of the greats of the modern game.

19.16An ace sees Nadal hold serve for the first time in this set. Rosol leads 2-1.

19.14Sam Querrey's match with Milos Raonic has just started...

19.14A forehand into the corner sees Rosol capitalise on the service break to lead 2-0. Nadal is making plenty of errors out there.

19.12It's bad news for Elena Baltacha as she is broken early against Petra Kvitova, allowing the Czech to race into a 3-0 lead.

19.10A huge slice of luck for Rosol as the ball clips the net for the point. He has three break points and takes the first one after Nadal double-faults. Despite taking the first set, the number two seed has uncharacteristically guven his opponent an opening here.

19.06Nadal, having received plenty of wolf-whistles while changing his shirt, will get us underway in this second set.

19.04Devastating for the Czech as he slams his shot into the net to hand Nadal the first set after 62 minutes. That was a very tough opener for the Spaniard, but he just had enough to come through.

19.03SET! Nadal 7-6[9] Rosol

19.01HOWEVER, the real talking point here is Nadal's match with Rosol. We're still in the tie-break at 9-9...

19.01British number two Elena Baltach has just started her second-round match against defending champion Petra Kvitova...

18.54Ward: "I gave it my all and today it just wasn't good enough. The atmosphere was unbelievable, the crowd was great."

18.52The American will now face flamboyant Belgian David Goffin in the next round.

18.52Huge credit must also go to Mardy Fish. He's had some huge health problems in the past year but showed today that he still has the stamina for the Grand Slams.

18.50He may have lost, but what a performance from James Ward. The two players embrace at the net and Mardy Fish knows he was in a match there. Ward, who is ranked 173rd in the world, takes the applause of the Court No. 1 crowd and so he should. He was phenomenal out there.

18.49GAME, SET AND MATCH! Ward 3-6 7-5 4-6 7-6[3] 5-7 Fish

18.48Ward can't find the court with his backhand and Fish has two match points...

18.46GAME, SET AND MATCH! Tsonga 6-7[3] 6-4 6-1 6-3 Garcia-Lopez

18.46Oh no! Fish takes one of the break points and will now serve for the match.

18.45Nadal and Rosol are into a first-set tie-break on Centre Court...

18.44Just as I say that, Fish finds himself with three break points...

18.41As the players take a short break, you have to wonder what Mardy Fish must be thinking. Ward is ranked 173rd in the world but certainly isn't playing like it.

18.40Ruthless stuff from second seed Victoria Azarenak as she sees of Romina Oprandi in just 53 minutes. The Belarusian will face either 26th seed Anabel Medina Garrigues or Jana Cepelova in the third round.

18.39GAME, SET AND MATCH! Azarenka 6-2 6-0 Oprandi

18.38That was a tough service game for Ward, but he manages to hold serve as Fish's looping lob goes long. 3-3.

18.35GAME, SET AND MATCH! Lepchenko 7-6[4] 6-4 Pavlyuchenkova

18.33Wonderful from Fish as he makes it 30-30 on the Ward serve with a ripped forehand across court.

18.31News from the Dimitrov/Baghdatis match as the Bulgarian retires due to being unwell. No physical ailment for Dimitrov, but he's just not able to continue.

18.30Now it's Fish who holds serve to love to take a 3-2 lead.

18.27Confident play from Ward as he enjoys a love service game to level the deciding set at 2-2.

18.27Incredibly, Lukas Rosol breaks back against Rafa Nadal in their opening set. The Spaniard serves at 3-4.

18.25That's disappointing from Ward as he miscues a volley at the net to give Fish the hold. The American leads 2-1. Meanwhile Juan Martin Del Potro's win over Go Soeda means that the Argentine will face another Japanese, Kei Nishikori, in the third round.

18.23GAME, SET AND MATCH! Soeda 2-6 3-6 6-1 4-6 Del Potro

18.19Fish hits wide and Ward holds to make it 1-1 in this tense fifth set. They've nearly been out there for four hours.

18.18Meanwhile, Nadal has found an early break against Rosol to lead 3-2 in the first.

18.16Number two seed Victoria Azarenka made short work of Romina Oprandi in their first set, while Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has turned it around against Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. The fifth seed now leads two sets to one.

18.15Andy Murray will take on Marcos Baghdatis in the third round after Grigor Dimitrov was forced to retire in his match against the Cypriot. More on that when we get it.

18.13SET! Tsonga 6-7[3] 6-4 6-1 Garcia-Lopez

18.12Ward looked like he was in there for an early service break, but Fish fought back to hold. Good stuff from the experienced American.

18.12SET! Oprandi 2-6 Azarenka

18.11GAME, SET AND MATCH! Dimitrov 5-7 1-4 Baghdatis [Dimitrov retired]

18.10Fish is struggling here as Ward has two break points...

18.08Let's remeber that Ward overcame Spain's Pablo Andujar in five sets in the last round. Can he see off the 10th seed Fish here?

18.05Wow! Fish doubled faults and gives Ward the fourth set. The Brit has been in scintillating form out there and is rewarded by forcing the match into a fifth.

18.04SET! Ward 3-6 7-5 4-6 7-6[3] Fish

18.04Second seed Rafael Nadal has just started his second-round contest with Lukas Rosol on Centre Court...

18.02Fish finds the net again (excuse the pun) and Ward has three set points!

18.02Thanks, Pascal. Right, Ward now leads 5-3 in this tie-break as Fish fires a backhand into the net.

17.59Righty ho, that's my stint at the keyboard done for the day. I'm going to pass you on to our resident tennis stat man Jack Prescott, who will effortlessly guide you through the remaining few hours of day four at the All England club. Jack...

17.57Tsonga seems to have recovered from losing that first set to Garcia-Lopez and is now a break up in the third at 2-0.

17.56Fish bends low to put away a cross-court backhand and we have a tie-break to decide the fourth set.

17.54Azarenka has made a blistering start on No. 2 and is already 3-0 up against Oprandi.

17.54Ward is within two points of the fourth set at 15-30 on the Fish serve. The crowd on No. 1 really getting behind the Brit.

17.53SET! Baghdatis has nicked the opener 7-5 against Dimitrov on Court 12. That could easily go to five sets.

17.52World number two Victoria Azarenka has begun her match against Switzerland's Romina Oprandi on No. 2 Court.

17.50SET! Not all going Del Potro's way on Court 18 as Soeda blitzes the third 6-1. Del Potro still with a 2-1 lead in the match.

17.50SET! Tsonga levels the match at one set apiece against Garcia-Lopez by taking the second 6-4 on No. 3.

17.49During that Murray tie-break Kohlschreiber wrapped up his match against Jaziri 6-1 7-6 6-1. The German is likely to play Rafael Nadal, next up on Centre, in the third round.

17.47Over on No. 1, Fish had a match point but was broken back at 5-4. We're now at 5-5 in the fourth, with Ward 30-15 ahead.

17.46Murray finishes by saying that today's match was a world apart from Tuesday's victory over Nikolay Davydenko. He admits he's just happy to get through.

17.45He adds that playing Karlovic can be a bit of a "lottery" as you try simply to get a racket on one of the big Croatian's serves.

17.44Murray tells the BBC that winning is the most important thing and that struggled to get into his rhythm today.

17.43Here's our match report on Murray's victory.

17.42That was certainly an uncomfortable match for the Scot. Karlovic played some superb tennis at the net and ran the world number four very, very close. Murray awaits the winner of the Baghdatis-Dimitrov match in round three.

17.41GAME, SET AND MATCH! Karlovic's backhand drifts just wide and Murray is through to the third round!

17.40Karlovic is in charge of the rally but sends a backhand slice into the net. Two match points for Murray...

17.39Karlovic double faults at 4-4! Murray now has two points on serve for the match and a place in the third round at Wimbledon.

17.38Murray looks in trouble on the next as Karlovic puts an excellent slice into the corner but the Scot produces a sublime cross-court backhand to move 4-3 ahead.

17.37Karlovic pumps both fists as he breaks Murray straight back thanks to an excellent backhand volley high above his head.

17.36Murray has a breakthrough! He anticipates a Karlovic serve out wide and bullets a forehand return back up the line. 3-2 and the Scot has two serves to come.

17.34No chance on the first one as Karlovic's serve nearly takes off the line judge's head.

17.34Murray wins both his service points to take a 2-1 lead. He'll be looking to win one of these next two points on the Karlovic serve.

17.32Karlovic does what Karlovic does best by opening the breaker with an ace.

17.31Brilliant resolve from Murray, who produces three excellent serves to get him through that game. A tie-break will decide this fourth set then.

17.30Murray produces a nice forehand pass to level at 15-15 but Karlovic is two points from the set after an accurate overhead.

17.29Fish has just made a crucial break on No. 1 against Ward. The American is now 4-3 ahead and has serve in the next game.

17.28Murray begins this crucial game with a double fault, unconvincing from the world number four.

17.27Karlovic mimics Murray in closing out the next game with a booming ace up the middle. The Scot must again hold serve to send this fourth set into a tie-break.

17.24SET! Del Potro looks good for the win on 18. The Argentinian has just taken the second 6-3 to open up a two-set advantage.

17.23Murray reaches double figures on the ace count to level the fourth at 5-5.

17.22Karlovic again produces some delicate play at the net to hold and now Murray must do the same otherwise the fourth set is gone.

17.21GAME, SET AND MATCH! Roddick holds serve to win the third 6-3 and complete a three-set success over Phau. The American former Wimbledon finalist faces seventh-seed Ferrer in the third round.

17.20@OptaJim tells us on Twitter that: "Murray has come to the net on just 8% of points in this game, Karlovic's rate is 41%, Murray however has a higher win % at the net."

17.19The run of service holds continues in the Murray match as the Scot shows no nerves after going 0-15 down.

17.18Roddick has come from a break down in the third against Phau and is now serving for the set and match at 5-3.

17.17Just seen a couple of pictures on Twitter of Jack Nicklaus, one of golf's all-time great players, at Wimbledon today.

17.15SET! Kohlschreiber makes no mistake in the tie-break against Jaziri to take a two-set lead on 14.

17.14It's a funny game this for Murray, Karlovic is serve-volleying on almost every point so the Scot has to always look for a low return. If he does this he often wins the point but it's far from easy to put a 120-mph ball just over the tape. Karlovic holds to take a 4-3 lead in the fourth.

17.10Karlovic drags a forehand into the net to hand Murray the game, 3-3 in the fourth on Centre.

17.09Kohlschreiber and Jaziri are into a tie-break in the second set.

17.08SET! Upset alert on No. 3 Court! Tsonga's just lost the first set on a tie-break to Garcia-Lopez. No one wants to see the charismatic Frenchman leave SW19 this early!

17.06And the big Croatian produces another great backhand volley before an unreturnable serve gives him a 3-2 lead.

17.05A 133-mph serve brings Karlovic back level at 30-30.

17.04Another shot at a break for Murray at 15-30...

17.04Just getting underway on Court 12 is the arguably one of the best unseeded matches you could wish to see. Marcos Baghdatis, a Wimbledon favourite who always provides entertainment, faces young Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, whose playing style is so alike Roger Federer you'd have to blink twice if you glimpsed him playing.

17.02Murray comfortably holds to level the fourth set at 2-2. Who will crack first on Centre?

17.01GAME, SET AND MATCH! Petrova has come through her marathon match with Babos by winning the final set, that lasted over an hour and a half in itself, 9-7. The Russian takes on Italian Camila Giorgi in the next round.

16.59Murray has a glimpse of a break at 15-30 but this is quickly extinguished as he fails to get back a couple of Karlovic serves.

16.59GAME, SET AND MATCH! Cilic holds and wraps up a 7-6 6-2 6-1 win over Kubot. The 16th seed will face either Sam Querrey or Milos Raonic, who are due to take to court soon, in round three.

16.57SET! Fish takes the third against Ward to move ahead in the match. The Brit is still in that one but must start the fourth well.

16.55No troubles for Murray on serve and he levels the fourth set at 1-1.

16.55Cilic appears to be within sight of victory. The Croat breaks for a second time in the third and will now serve for the match at 5-1.

16.53Karlovic starts the fourth better than he started the third by holding serve as Murray sends an attempted lob a foot past the baseline.

16.53Fish has broken on No. 1 to take a 5-4 lead and the American will now serve for the third set against Ward.

16.51GAME, SET AND MATCH! Paire shows no nerves on serve and is delighted at reaching round three. He'll have a chance of reaching the next too as he faces unseeded American Baker on Saturday.

16.49Looks as if 22nd-seed Dolgopolov is on the verge of exiting to 23-year-old Frenchman Paire, who is about to serve for the match.

16.46SET! Murray wastes no time in sealing the third by holding to 15. The Scot looks back on top.

16.46SET! Roddick moves two sets clear on No. 2 Court as he takes the tie-break to one against Phau. Looks like Ferrer will face Roddick in what is surely to be one of the picks of round three.

16.45SET! Del Potro takes the opener 6-2 against Soeda on 18. The relatively unknown Japanese player had begun well and they were at 2-2 before Del Potro reeled off four in a row to take the set.

16.44Karlovic had looked good to hold on but double faulted on game point before Murray sent back two excellent returns and secured the double break with a low forehand that Karlovic could do little about.

16.43Great tennis from Murray who breaks to take a 5-2 lead in the third set.

16.42Meanwhile, on Court 17 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, seeded 31, and America's Varvara Lepchenko are underway.

16.41On No. 2 Court, Phau and Roddick are in a second-set tie-break.

16.40GAME, SET AND MATCH! Ninth-seed on the women's side Bartoli is out as Lucic wraps up a 6-4 6-3 win in an hour and 39 minutes! Believe it or not, our match report is already up, read it here.

16.38Babos managed to save match point and go on to hold serve to take the third set to 6-6 against Petrova. Remember, no tie-breaks in the final set at Grand Slams.

16.37Plenty of even sets going on at the moment. Tsonga and Garcia-Lopez are 3-3 in their opener, while Fish and Ward are also locked at three games apiece in the third. Roddick and Phau's second set is much closer as they trade holds at 5-5.

16.36Murray again holds and the Scot looks good for the third set at 4-2.

16.35Babos is match point down to Petrova on Court 10.

16.34Murray produces one of the shots of the match with a forehand pass down-the-line that seemed almost impossible. It means little though as Karlovic holds.

16.31SET! Cilic is closing in on a place in round three after taking the second set 6-4 against Kubot.

16.31Over on No. 1, Ward and Fish have begun the third by trading breaks of serve, 2-2 there.

16.30"Game Murray" as the Scot recovers from a pathetic drop shot to send down a big serve and consolidate the break.

16.27Looks like former women's finalist Bartoli could be on her way out. The Frenchwoman is a set and a break down to Lucic.

16.26Karlovic gets on the scoreboard for the first time in the third by holding comfortably. 2-1 Murray.

16.24Murray sends down two big serves to avert the danger and open up a 2-0 lead in the third.

16.23Murray's volley on game point isn't good enough and Karlovic punishes the home favourite with a forehand pass. Deuce on the Scot's serve.

16.22That means there are currently just two women's matches taking place and eight men's games.

16.15SET! And he takes it! Murray misses his first serve and Karlovic blasts back the second. Murray puts the ball back in play but his return is weak and the Croatian approaches the net before putting away a forehand volley. Centre Court is silenced.

16.13Karlovic has set point on Centre...

16.12Men's fifth-seed Tsonga is underway against Garcia-Lopez on No. 3 Court.

16.10And that's what he does at the first time of asking, sending a low forehand return back that Karlovic can only push out on the volley. The players change ends at 3-3.

16.09Murray holds his next serve to peg back a point but he must now win one of the giant's service points if he is to get back into this.

16.08Murray's the first man to blink in the tie-break as Karlovic takes a 3-1 lead.

16.03Hasn't the sun been lovely today? Compared with yesterday's three-hour delay it's been extremely pleasant at SW19. Unlike where I'm sat in the country where we've had thunderstorms and torrential rain.

16.01Karlovic drags a forehand wide as Murray takes a 6-5 lead on Centre.

15.59GAME, SET AND MATCH! Wickmayer wins through 8-6 in the third against Voskoboeva. The Belgian plays in-form Paszek in the next round.

15.58Despite Murray being within a game of the set, Karlovic is strong enough on serve to level at 5-5.

15.55On No. 1 Court, Ward has come back from a break down in the second and now leads 5-4, with Fish serving to stay in the set.

15.39Ivanovic has come back from a break down in the second in her match with Bondarenko. She still needs to hold serve at 5-6, mind.

15.38SET! Paire has come through a first-set tie-break against 22nd-seed Dolgopolov. That would be a bit of an upset.

15.36SET! Lacko takes the fourth 6-3 on Court 5 and he and Melzer are heading for a fifth set. Austrian Melzer had to come through a decider against Wawrinka in the last round, will he get tired?

15.34Karlovic manages to hold and it's 2-2 on Centre.

15.33Roddick has broken to take a 3-1 lead on No. 2 Court against Phau.

15.32It's nice to see a serve-volleyer on Centre and Karlovic is producing some great stuff at the net. Murray is just as good returning though and we're at deuce in the fourth game of the second.

15.29SET! Babos and Petrova's match had already begun yesterday and the former has just surprisingly taken the second on a tie-break. They're heading into a deciding third on Court 10.

15.27Karlovic's groundstrokes are impressive for such a big man but he's struggling to get the better of Murray in the majority of baseline exchanges. The pair trade lobs on the point of the game before Murray's backhand on the turn drifts just out. The Scot goes on to hold to take a 2-1 lead in the second.

15.25Fish is up an early break in the second on No. 1 against Ward. The American, seeded 10, is serving at 2-1.

14.51Brilliant from Karlovic! He reaches low to his right to just get to a Murray return on the volley. The Scot sends the next shot for what looks to be a winner, only for the Croat to dink a delightful shot back across court when he was almost facing backwards. Great stuff.

11.54American Levine also has an early break against Goffin as Errani holds against Keothavong to open up an early 2-0 advantage.

11.53Two further breaks in the women's as Johansson breaks McHale and Vinci goes ahead against Erakovic.

11.52Things go from bad to worse for Finn Nieminen as he is again broken.

11.50On 9, Nieminen is down an early break to Baker.

11.50Nishikori breaks straight back on 17, 1-2.

11.49The Brit pushes an in-to-out forehand wide and Errani has an early break. She didn't have to do an awful lot there, the Italian.

11.48Keothavong's not begun well on Two and is already 0-40 down in her first service game.

11.45There's a break on 17 as Serra dismantles Nishikori's serve at the first time of asking. That would be an upset.

11.43Malisse holds serve in the opening game against Simon on No. 3.

11.41The first game of the day goes to Serra, who takes a 1-0 lead against Nishikori on 17.

11.40All the matches beginning now are not interrupted games and are starting at 0-0.

11.39Warm ups beginning to come to an end and the first matches are underway!

11.35Just waiting for the day's play to begin then. Almost ready for the off!

11.34Finally with the early starters, on Court 19 China's Zheng Jie faces Canada's Aleksandra Wozniak.

11.33Court 18 starts with eighth-seed German woman Angelique Kerber against Ekaterina Makarova.

11.32Japan's 19th-seed Kei Nishikori opens up Court 17 where he will face Frenchman Florent Serra.

11.31Court 16 begins with the 28th seed in the women's, Christina McHale, against France's Mathilde Johansson.

11.30On 14, Belgium's David Goffin plays American Jesse Levine, sounds American too doesn't he?!

11.30Fernando Verdasco opens proceedings on Court 12 against Slovenia's Grega Zemlja.

11.29On Court 9, Feliciano Lopez's conquerer Jarkko Nieminen takes on American Brian Baker.

11.28In the ladies' singles on Court 5, 21st-seed Roberta Vinci faces New Zealand's Marina Erakovic. Rare to see a Kiwi at Wimbledon eh?

11.26On No. 3 Court Xavier Malisse faces 13th-seed Gilles Simon, both players very talented there.

11.23There are plenty of mouthwatering matches getting underway at half 11 and here's the pick of them...

11.20One Brit I haven't mentioned is James Ward, who came through in five sets in the opening round. He's also got a tough test against tenth-seeded American Mardy Fish second up on No. 1.

11.18Keothavong is first up on Court Two in around ten minutes, while Baltacha faces Kvitova last on No. 1.

11.17Haven't the Brits being doing well this year? Heather Watson is the first woman in the third round for a decade and she could be joined by Keothavong and Baltacha. However, both women have extremely tough draws, with Keothavong facing French Open finalist Errani and Baltacha up against defending champion Kvitova.

11.14Weather update: Latest forecasts are...good! It's predicted to be the hottest day of the Championships so far with a maximum temperature of 27 degrees. This heat is expected to be uncomfortable for the players, with humid conditions forecast.

11.10On Number One Court, Maria Sharapova opens up midway through her match with Tsvetlana Pironkova. The Russian, who is on the back of victory at the French Open, is a set and a break up in that one.

11.07Four-time champion Serena Williams opens up on Centre, sister Venus is already out remember, and she plays qualifier Melinda Czink.

11.06He's followed by Rafael Nadal on the showcourt, who faces Czech Lukas Rosol for a place in round three.

11.05British number one Andy Murray is second up on Centre Court today. The Scot takes on big-serving Croat Ivo Karlovic, who could be dangerous if he finds his rhythm on the grass.

11.02Morning all, yesterday was the first time this year that the traditional rain hit SW19 for a prolonged period and there was more of the same this morning. Around an hour and a half ago there was drizzle in London but the sun has since been piercing through the cloud. Let's hope for a full day's play.
