The prize money for the winners of this year's Wimbledon singles titles has been increased by 10% to £1.76m.

The total prize fund for the Grand Slam has been boosted to £25m, £2.4m more than last year's tournament.

A first-round loser in the singles competitions at SW19 will receive £27,000, which is £6,500 more than 12 months ago.

Andy Murray was crowned Britain's first male singles champion in 77 years when he beat Novak Djokovic in the 2013 final, while Marion Bartoli claimed the first major of her career by defeating Sabine Lisicki.
