Reigning Olympic triathlon champion Nicola Spirig has won gold in the European Games in Baku after dominating the run this morning.
The Switzerland athlete was ahead throughout the run after coming off the bike in the leading group, finishing more than a minute ahead of Dutch entrant Rachel Klamer, who claimed second.
Lisa Norden of Sweden, who finished second to Spirig at the London Games, picked up the bronze, just losing out to Klamer in a sprint for the finish line.
Ireland's Aileen Reid finished sixth, while Heather Sellars of Great Britain came in 15th.
