Switzerland skier Dario Cologna believes that he had "a perfect race" in the 15km classic cross country on Friday.
The 27-year-old won the gold medal in the event, finishing ahead of Swedish duo Johan Olsson and Daniel Richardsson.
"It's unbelievable," Cologna told the Olympic News Service. "I couldn't believe in my first medal and here comes the second.
"It was a perfect race. I knew it'd be hard and I was well prepared. I saw Sweden's Olsson skiing ahead of me – and when I passed him, I realised that it was gold."
Great Britain's Andrew Musgrave finished 44th in the race, while Andrew Young and Callum Smith ended up 37th and 67th respectively.
