Chairman of the British Olympic Association Lord Coe has hailed the character of Great Britain curler Greg Drummond.
The 25-year-old, from Forfar, is competing in his first Winter Olympics and is part of the Team GB curling side that have won two out of their three matches in Sochi so far in the competition, following their narrow victory over Germany.
Coe told The Courier: "Greg is a fantastic role model, particularly as he is from a small community.
"It is really important that young people see that someone who lives a few streets away from them has been able, through hard work, focus and vision, and a forensic eye for detail, to do what they've done, and it sort of rolls out the carpet for them as well."
Drummond and his teammates are in action again later today against Switzerland.
