Team GB bobsleigh pilot Lamin Deen says that he aims to break into the top 20 of the two-man event tomorrow.

Great Britain bobsleigh pilot Lamin Deen has said that his partnership with teammate John Baines is a work in progress, following a disappointing first two heats in the two-man event at the 2014 Sochi Games.

Deen and Baines are placed 23rd on day one, with their combined time of 1:55.35 a full two-and-a-half seconds behind leaders Russia.

Their partnership is still in its infancy, with Baines coming into the team shortly before the start of the Games following an injury to Craig Pickering.

Deen told TeamGB.com: "Before the injury, Craig and I had done a lot of work together on timing at the start. For John and I, this is probably the seventh run we have had together and we have still got timing work to improve on for tomorrow.

"It will be tough to get into the top 20 but this is bobsleigh, anything can happen. We have seen a few mishaps at the start. The top of the track is key. If you mess that up, you can fall back as easily as you can gain time."

In order to get the chance at a fourth attempt around the technical track at the Sanki Sliding Centre, the Team GB duo need to break into the top 20 during tomorrow's third run.
