Joel Fearon has insisted that Great Britain's four-man bobsleigh team are now a "much stronger" following silver medal success in the World Cup and European Championship this season.
The 25-year-old arrived in Russia on the weekend ahead of the event, which concludes on Sunday before the closing ceremony.
"I think we are much stronger as a team because of that," Fearon is quoted as saying by Sutton Coldfield Observer when asked about what effect winning previous titles will have on his teammates. "We didn't really know what to expect at the start of the season or what direction it was going to go in.
"And, for us, it has gone in such a wonderful direction and just being here at the Games you are already thinking that at the start of the year we didn't know what to expect. Now we're here and we're in a good position and everyone is in good shape."
Team GB have not won a medal in a bobsleigh event since the 1964 Games.
