Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final with Leicester City.
Sports Mole

Chelsea will be aiming to book their spot in the semi-finals of the FA Cup when they host Leicester City in the quarter-finals of the competition on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues will enter the contest with the Championship outfit off the back of a 3-2 success over Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday night.

Mauricio Pochettino's side have overcome Preston North End, Aston Villa and Leeds United to book their position in the final eight of this competition.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the meeting with Leicester, who are top of the Championship table.

Ben Chilwell

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Chilwell is currently undergoing 'specialist medical treatment' on a knee injury, and it is unclear at this stage when the left-back could be available for selection again.

Levi Colwill

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Toe
Possible return date: March 17 (vs. Leicester)

Colwill missed out against Newcastle due to a toe problem, and the defender will need to be assessed before it is determined whether he will be available this weekend.

Christopher Nkunku

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: March 30 (vs. Burnley)

Nkunku will again miss out this weekend due to a hamstring problem, but there is hope that last summer's arrival could be available for selection before the end of the month.

Benoit Badiashile

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Badiashile was again absent against Newcastle last time out due to a groin problem, and the centre-back is still not ready to return to first-team action.

Wesley Fofana

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Fofana faces a battle to return to action before the end of the campaign due to the serious knee injury that he suffered ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Reece James

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

James underwent hamstring surgery towards the end of last year, and it is currently unclear when the England international could be available for selection once again.

Lesley Ugochukwu

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Ugochukwu picked up a hamstring injury towards the end of last year, and Chelsea have not offered any indications of when he could potentially return to action.

Romeo Lavia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Lavia has made just one substitute appearance since joining Chelsea last summer, and the midfielder is currently on the treatment table with a troublesome thigh issue.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Enzo Fernandez

Status: Out
Possible return date: March 30 (vs. Burnley)

Chelsea will be without the services of Fernandez this weekend, as the midfielder is suspended due to the yellow card which he picked up in the last round against Leeds.
