Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has revealed that there have been discussions with his side over a new contract.
Dalton is entering the final year of his rookie deal signed in 2011, but there have been conflicting messages from the Bengals over the possibility over securing the 26-year-old to a long-term contract.
Dalton told Sirius XM NFL Radio: "There's been talks about it. There's been a couple of proposals sent over and different things. We're working on it. Hopefully, we can get something done. I'm not too worried about it.
"I know in the right timing everything is going to happen, but, obviously, everyone would like to get something done sooner rather than later. It's all going to take care of itself, I'm just going to focus on what I can control."
The quarterback threw for 4,296 yards along with 33 touchdowns to 20 interceptions in the 2013 season.
