The Detroit Lions are in command of their clash against the New York Jets as they lead 17-3 at the break at MetLife Stadium.
The Jets started the game well and moved the ball efficiently downfield as Geno Smith completed several throws, while Chris Ivory ran well in the ground game, but they were forced to settle for a field goal from 27 yards from Nick Folk.
Detroit responded with a good drive of their own as a 35-yard reception from Golden Tate moved them into the Jets' half of the field, but they were also restricted to a field goal as Alex Henery nailed a 51-yarder through the posts.
The Lions took the lead when the Jets made a mistake in their secondary as they allowed Jeremy Ross to sneak in behind them and Matt Stafford hit the wideout for a 59-yard touchdown.
Stafford put his side further ahead when his offense took advantage of a penalty to move into the redzone and then he fired a 16-yard touchdown pass to his tight end Eric Ebron.
