Indianapolis Colts defensive end Cory Redding has admitted that he is delighted to have played in the NFL playoffs for the past four seasons.
Before his first appearance in the post-season in 2010, while at the Baltimore Ravens, Redding said that he was wondering whether he would ever play beyond the regular season.
"I couldn't sniff the playoffs," Redding told the club's official website. "Couldn't even think about it. Being able to say I've been in the playoffs now for the last four years, it's amazing.
"A long journey for myself, but it's an appreciation whether you're a rookie or an 11-year veteran. To be in the playoffs is something special. It's something hard to do. It's very hard to win in this league consistently week in and week out.
"All the things that we've done have got us to this point. We're happy, but we're not satisfied. There is still work to be done."
The Colts take on the New England Patriots in their divisional playoff game on Saturday night.
