Andrew Luck threw four touchdown passes to fire the Indianapolis Colts to a comfortable 40-24 victory over the New York Giants in their NFL clash at MetLife Stadium.

Chuck Pagano's side took the lead in the first quarter when Luck drove his side into Giants' territory, but failed to score a touchdown. However, Adam Vinatieri was on hand to fire a 48-yard field goal through the posts.

The Colts extended their advantage early in the second quarter when Coby Fleener caught two passes in succession. Giants head coach Tom Coughlin tried to challenge the first catch, but Luck was quick to run the next play and from his pass, Fleener ran into the endzone for a 32-yard score.

The Giants replied with a field goal as Eli Manning managed to get his side into range despite numerous dropped catches from his wide receivers. Josh Brown got the Giants on the board with the 38-yard kick.

However, Vinatieri added two further field goals for the Colts just before the break to give them command of the match with a 13-point lead.

In the second half, Indianapolis powered further ahead when Luck moved his side seamlessly downfield before firing deep to the endzone for TY Hilton.

Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie looked to have made the interception, but Hilton grabbed the ball from him to score the 31-yard touchdown.

The home side brought themselves back into the game as Odell Beckham turned a simple catch into a huge 59-yard gain as he found a crease in the defense. Andre Williams completed the drive by powering in for a one-yard score.

Luck restored his side's dominance as he threw a strike to Reggie Wayne despite facing a heavy rush, and the receiver raided down the sideline to score a 40-yard touchdown.

Minutes later, Manning fumbled after being hit by Jonathan Newsome, which allowed the Colts to add another touchdown when Luck found Dwayne Allen in the endzone. Vinatieri put the game beyond doubt when he fired a 43-yarder through the posts to leave the score at 40-10.

New York added two late touchdowns as the Colts removed starters from the match, and Manning fired strikes to Larry Donnell and Corey Washington, but the visitors saw out a comfortable win to move to 6-3 in their season.
