The Kansas City Chiefs lead the Chicago Bears by 14 point at the break after dominating the first half at Arrowhead Stadium.
Neither side were able to score on their first possession of the game, but the Chiefs' defense got their side on the board when Allen Bailey burst through the line to sack Jay Cutler, who spilled the ball and Ramik Wilson reacted to gather for the touchdown.
The Bears rallied to drive into the Chiefs' half of the field, but the home side made enough of a stand to force a field-goal attempt from John Fox's men. Robbie Gould got the visitors on the board by firing his 44-yard kick through the posts.
Kansas City extended their lead early in the second quarter when Alex Smith fired the ball out wide to DeAnthony Thomas, who got behind blocks from his wideouts to run into the endzone untouched.
The Chiefs extended their lead just before the break when Smith drove his team into field-goal range and Cairo Santos made no mistake drilling his strike between the posts from 35 yards.
