Ryan Allen is expected to be able to punt for the New England Patriots in the AFC championship game.
The punter injured his shoulder during last week's divisional round win against the Indianapolis Colts, leaving kicker Stephen Gostkowski to take the punts, while quarterback Tom Brady had to act as holder during field goals.
The AFC East champions have not signed a punter during the week, while NFL.com reports that the team expects Allen to play.
The Patriots face the Denver Broncos for a place in the Super Bowl later today.
