New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has expressed his belief that tight end Jace Amaro will be tough for opposition defenses to deal with next season.
Amaro, who stands at 6'5" and weighs 265 pounds, was chosen by the Jets in the second round of this year's NFL Draft following a prolific spell in college football.
The Jets ranked 31st out of 32 in passing attack last season, and Ryan believes that the addition of the 21-year-old will help improve that aspect of his team's game.
"A guy with that kind of size and his kind of skills... absolutely, he'll add to our passing game. Those guys are hard to cover," Ryan told reporters.
Amaro has already outlined his desire to emulate legendary tight end Tony Gonzalez, who is widely regarded to be the best-ever in his position.
