Michael Vick has insisted that there will not be a competition between himself and Geno Smith to be the New York Jets' starting quarterback.
Head coach Rex Ryan confirmed in a press conference that he would allow the duo to compete at the training camp ahead of the start of pre-season.
However, the 34-year-old told the New York Daily News: "I think that's already been addressed as far as who the starter is. There's no more speculation about that."
Vick lost the starting job at the Philadelphia Eagles to Nick Foles last season before moving to the Jets earlier this year.
