Kansas City Chiefs have extended their winning streak in the AFC West to six after beating Oakland Raiders 34-20 at the Coliseum.
It was the Raiders who started the better of both sides, and it took them a couple of minutes to move ahead.
A fast and furious opening helped the hosts move to the brink of the endzone, before a two-yard rush by Latavius Murray gave Oakland the perfect start against the division's in-form side.
Chiefs were not to be left too frustrated, however, as they responded later in the quarter through Alex Smith, who made no mistake with his three-yard rush to level the scores at 7-7.
Oakland's go-to guy Derek Carr came up with the goods in the closing stages of the quarter as his 25-yard pass found the hands of Michael Crabtree.
With a five-match winning streak to protect, Kansas emerged from the break determined to maintain their stellar form, and they levelled up the score courtesy of Spencer Ware's 10-yard rush.
Two minutes from the end of the third quarter, Oakland, who beat the Titans last time out to end a three-game losing streak, restored the six-point lead when Lee Smith latched on to a five-yard pass from Carr, though Janikowski failed with the extras.
Jeremy Maclin came to the fore in the final quarter, grabbing two touchdown passes as the Chiefs flipped the clash on its head, before Tyvon Branch's 38-yard interception helped the visitors seal a spirited win.
