Team England's Adam Gemili has thanked supporters for cheering him on to a Commonwealth Games silver medal in last night's men's 100m.
The 20-year-old led the way at Hampden Park until Jamaica's Kemar Bailey-Cole stepped up a gear to take gold.
"So I've woken up this morning and it turns out it wasn't just a dream," Gemili said on Twitter. "It really did happen. Commonwealth Games Silver medallist!
"A special thanks to every single person for supporting me out there. Wish I could individually thank you all but just know I am so grateful.
"A huge thank you to my amazing team who without their hard work I wouldn't be anywhere. My first senior medal and I really am over the moon."
The bronze medal went to Nickel Ashmeade of Jamaica.
